My family, including my wife Alice and our three daughters moved to Hawthorn Hills in June of 1990.  Twenty years goes by pretty fast.  Since that time our children have grown up, gone to college and are now out on their own.  My wife has been teaching in the Rochester District for 17 years.  I was lucky enough to retire in 2006 after 27 years with Johnson and Johnson.
One of the first things I did after retirement was to volunteer for the Hawthorn Hills Homeowners Association Board.  I felt privileged to live in this community for many years ans was eager to help keep our neighborhood one of the finest in the state.
Over the years we have seen many changes and families and friends come and go.  It is very encouraging to see all the new families moving into Hawthorn Hills and the cycle of family and community continue.  (Click Vice President to send an email to Dennis.)

Hello neighbors!  I am a retired secondary mathematics teacher, and have recently become involved with the Association to help  maintain the quality of life and community this subdivision has continually provided.
My family moved to Hawthorn Hills in 1994 from another local subdivision, Brookwood. Our longevity in the area is a testament to our love for the Rochester Hills community; where we have enjoyed the trails and parks; the lure of the downtown ambiance, shopping and restaurants; the community programs for children and adults as well as the excellence of the Rochester Public Schools.  We take full advantage of the cultural and sporting activities afforded to us by Oakland University and Meadowbrook, DTE Energy Music Theater and the Palace of Auburn Hills.  (Click Secretary to send an email to Christine.)

Greetings, fellow residents!  My wife, Ingrid, and I have lived in Hawthorn Hills since   September 1993, moving here from California as a result of a job transfer.  As of September 2009, I am retired and really enjoying it.   My former work kept me away from home a fair amount so I did not participate much in Association activities.   I am changing that now.

I enjoy working with computers and learning new things; therefore, I signed up to develop this website and through this become more involved in our Association activities.  With the help of the board and other members, we will make this website a real communication vehicle for our subdivision.  The idea is to make it a “Go-to" site for news, events, and activities about our subdivision and community at large.  Together we can do it.  Suggestions and input will always be welcome.  Contact me using this link: Webmaster
